Christmas 2021 Previa
Almost finishing a complex year full of different national processes, with the happiness to enjoy a lunch together sharing stories and personal learning.

First Educational Lab Activity
As an hybrid Course, following procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we opened our Laboratory to teach nine undergraduate students in groups of two.
From left to right:
Cheryl Delgado-Coindran, Almendra Castillo-Rojas; Emilio Seguel-Fuentes, Sebastian Zuñiga-Pozo; Daniel Uropea Rivera; Rachel Reyes-Lizana, Sobrino Conejeros-Lillo; Fabian Gonzalez-Martinez, Valentina Jofre-Castillo. Few other students and the teacher coordinator were following the class online
The practical laboratory for the Signal Transduction Course showed the visual transduction of the Drosophila Eye by an electroretinogram. The students activated an LED with 5V during 500ms several times. Also, they were able to see the effects of combining chronic light exposure in the ERGs and their fast recovery by turning on the light of the microscope in the middle of the experiment.

Firts Puerto Rican Drosophila Neurobiology Meeting: from Neural Network to Synaptic Plasticity
We begun and ambisous project which join the principal investigators of the island working in molecular neurobiology and behaviour using Drosophila as a model system, we included also people working with other mini brain as bees. At the meeting graduates and undergraduates student also presented their works in different session.
